Intensive Introductory Russian is a crosslisted Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies/Interdisciplinary Arts class taught by Judith Wobst.

Course Description

This course is designed for students with no background in Russian, who would like to jump-start their studies. Students are introduced to the basic grammatical structures, and by the end of the semester are able to communicate in verbal and written forms about personal information, daily activities, future plans, and past experiences. Attendance and classroom participation are vital, due to the intense nature of the course, and will count for 50 percent of the requirement for credit. Topics of study are based on assignments from the course textbook, Live from Russia, and the students' experiences. Successful completion of the course prepares students to enter Intermediate Russian.
