Biography

Robert Coles, associate professor of African-American literature, received a B.A. from Lincoln University, an M.A. from Arizona State University and his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He taught at Fordham University, Howard University, and Berea College before coming to Hampshire College. His areas of interest include creative writing as well as American and African-American literature.
