A generous gift from a donor has established a fund that is administered by the Student Managed Investment Fund Forum and overseen by an advisory board within the College. The purpose of SMIFF is twofold. Primarily, we seek to learn the relationship of financial markets to conditions in the larger economy through real world investing, and to learn the techniques of evaluating the performance of companies and the sectors in which they operate. Secondarily, we aim to meet social investing criteria while making above average investment returns. Income earned from our investments will go to Hampshire to fund key activities, including financial aid.
